国外毛泽东研究领域第三次论战主要是围绕心理分析方法,即从微观方面勾画毛泽东思想肖像而展开的"争论"。唯物史观只是提供了从总体上把握毛泽东的方法,只是构建了毛泽东的"整体骨架"。用心理分析方法"走进"毛泽东的内心世界,是对唯物史观的有效补充。但同时必须深刻认识到心理分析方法固有的弊端,否则只能是历史唯心主义的解释。在尝试走进毛泽东的内心世界的同时,我们还必须学会走出。
